Leak Aware
Privacy and your enquiry
Here is how Leak Aware uses information when you browse the website, prepare a WhatsApp message or request a callback.
Your contact choices
The WhatsApp helper prepares a message on your device. Opening WhatsApp passes that message to WhatsApp; you still press Send there. A callback request is different: pressing Request a callback securely sends the details you entered into our private enquiry inbox. We use them to respond, assess the requested service and arrange agreed work. Neither action confirms an appointment or takes payment.
Information you choose to send
Callback requests include your name, telephone number, optional email address, property postcode, property type and description of the leak, along with the business and page you contacted. Please do not include payment-card details, passwords, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information.
Storage and service providers
The website and private inbox use OpenAI Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure. The websites use a shared secure enquiry service operated for the businesses, and each request is identified with the business you chose. Callback records are accessible through the owner’s private dashboard. They are normally retained for up to 12 months for enquiry follow-up, with expired records removed during service use. Records needed for an agreed job may be held separately for the relevant contractual or legal period. WhatsApp and telephone providers handle their services under their own terms.
Anonymous website statistics
To improve the website, we count page views, broad referral sources and selections of WhatsApp, call and enquiry controls. Counts are aggregated by day, website and page. We do not create visitor profiles, save IP addresses in the statistics, use advertising cookies or link browsing histories between these websites. Repeat page views are counted separately.
You can turn these statistics off below. We also respect supported browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences. Only your opt-out preference is stored on your device. Short-lived, separate security counters help protect the enquiry service from abuse.
Purpose and your rights
Enquiry details are used to respond to your request and take steps towards the service you ask about. They are not used for automated marketing. Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction or deletion, restrict processing or object to it. Contact Leak Aware on 01753 467000 or WhatsApp +44 7999 345944, identifying the business and your enquiry. You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
